Yep, 19 years ago the Backstreet Boys released “As Long As You Love Me” as a single in the United States.

I did a post over on BackstreetBoys.com about five iconic moments from the music video, but as a little fun for the anniversary, check out a video of the music video on Pop-Up video years ago, with some little facts that you probably already knew if you’re a #BSBArmy member.

The number six song that was voted on in the Backstreet Boys Top 20 favorite songs ever is “As Long As You Love Me.” The song was the second single on both the boys’ debut U.S. album and their second international album.

“As Long As You Love Me” was written solely by Max Martin.

According to Wikipedia, the song is their biggest selling single in the UK and the 13th biggest selling boyband single of the 1990s in the UK selling 430,000 copies. In the US, although it was never released as a commercial single, it became an MTV staple and a radio airplay hit, spending 56 weeks on the Billboard Hot 100 Airplay chart, with a peak of #4.
